transferring from fsu!

Surely you know that every house is made up of all kinds of girls. If they let you affiliate (which they shouldn't because you're so stupid that you asked a question like this on an anonymous website) you will be able to find friends.

It's a great house as all of them are at UA. Don't pay any attention to "give me a break".

DG here is bottom middle tier. Not the worst house here but not the best. I know DG at FSU is very, very good so I honestly don't know why you'd want to transfer. DG takes in very mixed pledge classes so I'm sure you'll be able to find a friend group but you will have to be content about going from a top tier chapter to a middle/bottom tier chapter. Of course tiers don't matter but it will affect your experience.

Here's what I tell everybody about affiliating: wait. Each chapter is different, as you know, with its own personality. Definitely let them know you're on campus and would like to get acquainted. (Frankly, I'm not sure if they affiliate or not - if they don't it's not personal, it's an across-the-board thing, if they do, they'll affiliate every DG on campus if they wish). If you're invited, go to the house for some lunches, get to know the girls.
If you like them and they like you, full steam ahead!
But if do affiliate and find you're not compatible, your only recourse would be to resign from the fraternity. For, like, forever.
Right now, the decision is yours, so I'd go slow, connect and see if that's the best path for you. If you don't affiliate, you'll still be a member and can join alumnae groups on down the line.

For the record, I hope it does work out for you and you can affiliate.

Im a DG here and its a very mixed house. Its a solid middle tier house. There are pretty girls and not so pretty girls in every house. The friendship in the house obviously depends on who you associate with. Not everyone is friends of course, but there are plenty of groups to choose from. We aren't in high school, you don't need to be a top tier house for people to like you.

DG is a great house with a diverse membership, but no, they're not "facey" like DG is at FSU, UF, and Miami. They're still fairly new, having recolonized five years ago, but they've done really well for themselves. Their house blows FSU's out of the water. :)
