hurt sister

I just found out that my big sister in my sorority quit our org and she didnt tell me. Our chapter is small and everyone seemed to know but me. I'm really hurt because I don't really have any friends in my sorority and I'm a year in. I don't want to be a quitter and quit but its just so hard and my feelings are hurt all the time. My friends in other sororities are really happy in theirs and keep saying that i should quit. But I don't want to be viewed poorly. I am in a very hard place about it and I've never ever had to deal with rejection on this level before. I just feel very betrayed and unloved . Advice would be appreciated!

might i mention i don't go to alabama but my school is small and this question would never be answered there since there hasn't been a GR post in months

Give it the remainder of this year and if you still don't connect go inactive. You deserve to enjoy your house! If the girls don't embrace you...then just focus on your friendships outside the house.

Get in there and do stuff with the other actives on committees and projects. Reach out to ones in your classes or major. Please don't just sit there and wait for lightning to strike. They may not know how you feel, so give them a chance.

First, quit feeling sorry for yourself. It does no good and only makes you miserable.
Plaster a smile on your face and go to the house, or dorm, or wherever your sorority gathers. Go up and talk to girls. Offer to help, volunteer.
Surprise, kid - it's not about you. Forget about you.
Go talk to the girls and REALLY LISTEN. Smile, act like you care, and believe it or not, you really will be smiling and caring after a little while.
But for cryin' out loud, quit stewing in your own juice!
