XO, AXO, KKG
They all care about different things and look for different kinds of girls. Here's a breakdown:
XO: high GPA, very involved In high school, outgoing yet laid back
AXO: high GPA, more religious, not as laid back as XO (not in a bad way, just different type of girls)
KKG: family money, most are from Mt Brook, Mobile or New Orleans, laid back but not as interested in grades or involvement as XO or AXO

KKG is competitive. You need to bring something to the table:nth at they are looking for: High grades, personality, recommendations, etc.

DDD is similar to those mentioned. Competitive old row attracts primarily souther preppy. A low key vibe. Not known for being a party house (although recent probation for drinking in the house) still considered more involved and studious.
PIPhi is similar, although new row and more OOS.
ZTA (along with PiPhi) is top of new row, but different in that it attracts girls with looks and has a party reputation. Has some "haters", but is competitive. More OOS focused, new row.

If you're not from Mobile, New Orleans or Mountain Brook, you're going to have a hard time getting a Kappa bid.
If you're too high maintenance and pageant girlish, you're not getting a Chi O bid.
If you don't have at least a 3.5 high school GPA, you aren't getting in Alpha Chi.
If you haven't won a pageant, you're not getting a Phi Mu bid.
If your high school GPA was around a 2.0, but you're pretty, Alpha Phi will take you.
If you have been dropped from all other old row houses, KD will still take you.

I'm from the west coast and I'm a Kappa PC'16. Yes we have a fair amount of Alabama girls but we have lots that aren't too. I do know our rush is competitive. That being said, I have friends that aren't from the South that maybe only had one rec but are still in my pledge class. So it's definitely not impossible:)

Right houses, right order I think. I'm assuming that the hardest house to get a bid from is AXO and that the easiest list starts with the very easiest and ends up with the 4th easiest house. Iow, easier to get in KAT than in DG. ammiright?

Please gphi was giving out cob bids like they were candy, so that's your easy house. And phi mu as well this year. Both of those have new houses to pay for so they need high numbers.

Maybe in the past but they've improved a lot. Or maybe you're in another low house and you want to throw some other house under yours????

Lots of very selective houses gave out quite a few COB bids this year. I'm not sure you can use that to determine how easy it is to get a bid
