Why does KD alum still have such a big say in what girls get picked?

Just my observation KD must have gotten an awesome pledge class with all the hate on here lately.

KD alums have a lot of power at KD because they have a lot of pride in the organization and want their legacy preserved. That legacy involves money and privileged status, for the most part. These ladies have money and put it into the house and the quid pro quo for that is that they get power in recruitment.
