Sororities will still swap with any Fraternity they want, because no Fraternity will turn down a swap with them. If it is a top tier Fraternity same thing, if girls in a Sorority want to swap with them, they will. All they possibly lose is any SGA positions consideration, homecoming queen consideration... Which really doesn't mean a thing.

So crossing the Machine doesn't cost you anything. Who really holds power on campus is not the Machine but Sororities, they decide what fraternities get swaps which is the major deal for fraternities.
