trust the process?

Everyone says "trust the proceess". I guess with 400 girls in each house, you will find people you get along with, and I have.
That being said, I do question what if?
Rush was so fast, and at each house I met only a few girls, quickly and I never knew who else would likely pledge.
After preference, my rankings of the three houses I wanted going into pref had changed completely, and I was tired and confused.
I "love"' my big, and have a great group of core friends in my pledge class. But, can't help but wonder what if I knew more about the other PNMs, the house routine, the other sisters besides who was there rush week, knew who swaps would be with, etc. Would I have made another choice? I think I Would have.
Seems like rush was too quick and lacked the ability to develop a full understanding.
Don't want to complain. I'm happy. Just feel like there wasn't enough time to gather all the information That I Would have liked before having to make a decision.
Would assume some houses feel the same about some of there PNMs.
Does anyone else feel this way? \n\n\n\n\n

I actually went through recruitment at another large SEC school, transferred here as a sophomore and reaffiliated with my sorority's chapter here. Not having enough information to make the right decision is a major issue at every school where Greek life is a big deal, and unfortunate there's no good way to get to really know every house in such a short period of time. The reason it works out for most PNMs is that either 1. They have friends in various chapters who know whether or not the PNM would be a good fit and/or 2. Sororities are actually a lot more similar than you might think, and most of the time you'll be able to find your people within the chapter just due to the chapter size here and at other large schools. My sorority's chapter at my old school has a completely different reputation than the chapter here, but I was able to find friends in both chapters and have a great time at both schools.
Long post, but trusting the system tends to work for most PNMs because they can usually fit in with most large chapters, as opposed to PNMs actually ending up in whatever chapter they would have been the best fit for.

I'm not quitting. As I said, I like allot about my house. Even rolling what seemed to me my millionth pomp! And, it's an escape from my roommate when she goes through her worst moments.....lol.
Seriously, I guess. I was mostly wondering what if the process allowed more time,to figure it out.
But base on what I hear from friends at other schools, a longer process can get really nasty.
It's all good. :)\n\n\n\n\n

"Trust the process" means the whole thing of rush, where the groups and the PNMs go through a series of visits, with the sororities releasing women who don't fit their needs, and the same, more or less, for the PNMs. It's been around a LOT longer than Nick Saban's Process!

The amount of times I heard the phrase "trust the process" during rush week. It's ridiculous. Definitely a thing, but its a good saying for PNMs to realize that they have little to no choice about what happens
