phi mu: kicked off old row
by: gtSo funny how Phi Mu thinks they are still old row. We all know that you buy your slot on old row from adpi and now you are not even a part of it. So cut the old row mentality and start improving your sisterhood, maybe then you can start competing with the top houses that are on the rise: AGAM, PiPhi, ADpi

HERE'S A HISTORY LESSON FOR THE IDIOT OP:
ADPi was NEVER ON OLD ROW. Never ever. Phi Mu joined it in the early 90s. No one was kicked off for them to get on. They were added as an "I'm sorry" from the Machine because they (the Machine) beat up a Phi Mu (Mindy somebody) because she tried to run for SGA prez against the Machine's candidate. The Machine did horrible things to her. That is the only reason Phi Mu was added to old row. Old Row was always 6 frats and 6 sororities. Phi Mu makes 7 because they were an afterthought.

They aren't old row anymore, back to six on six. No need to feel sorry for them lol old row is just a title and most houses refuse the status bc it doesn't give a positive image. Pros and cons to both sides... Roll tide

To the delusional post above. You think the other houses "refuse the status?" Please don't be so gullible. There is nothing for new row houses to refuse BECAUSE THEY WERE NEVER INVITED. It's fine to be in a new row house. Those houses are terrific, but don't act like your new row house was invited to join Old Row and then turned it down. BECAUSE THAT NEVER HAPPENED.

Sweet friends. Old Row existed LONG BEFORE Budweiser put their logo on the tshirts. Old Row has been around since the 50s/60s. Budweiser slapped their logo on the shirts in the 80s.
Just let it go with the "my house was invited to Old Row and turned it down." It's not true and it makes you and your entire sorority look desperately jealous of the houses that are Old Row.

Did sororities actually call themselves "Old Row" before they started having the party in the '80s? I thought sororities had just First Circle before that to set themselves apart as elite or whatever.

First Circle is just the name given to a DDD, AGD, KD party they started a long time ago. It has no relevance and isn't an exclusive club thing. The original houses for those three were part of the circle on Magnolia Drive. So they thought it would be cute to name a party after it.

Actually friends ZTA ADP were both around when houses were asked to take that sponsor and its in the by laws that they couldn't take alcoholic sponsors which back then that's what old row meant. :) believe it or not some people actually didn't want the title lol
