Didn't make quota? Bet a few COBs are feeling lucky

they didn't have to make quota since DDD can keep older girls from not dropping

Actually tri delt is under total and is on the COB list. Alpha chi however is not.

How can Tridelt and Axo not make quota? Release too many too early? Too many on their lists were taken, no need for quota additions and they decide not to snap? Is that it? Who took their pref girls? Scattered around or did somebody really surprise?

I think surprised girls chose other houses with their being so far under quota.

Yep. Means they ran out of pnms on their lists before they could fill the class. Had to pass on snaps because of stigma from doing that.

Did tri delt and alpha chi lose in state or out of state girls?

Probably Pi Phi (academic ones at least) and Zeta. Pi Phi is almost tied with the second largest pledge class even though they have good retention rates and are a relatively strong chapter. That means many of the girls who went to pref with them decided to pref them as their #1, leading to many quota additions.

IDK Zeta and Alpha Phi's numbers, but if they're high it means they took AXO/DDD's PNMs.

Usually if a stronger chapter is under quota, they did much worse at pref than they are used to. If a stronger chapter is way over quota, then they had a lot of girls put them at #1 at pref and they have a lot of QA. Weaker chapters have a lot of girls higher than quota for obvious reasons

Pbp got qa bc of no house and need to keep chapter total up.

AXO and DDD don't have to COB because they keep the members they have. If some of the sororities on here had the amazing sisterhoods and hot social lives they say they do then they wouldn't need to constantly replace their members (Truth Bites, right?).

Just to settle these stupid rumors people can look on the grade reports. Won't let me post the link but these are on the UA Student Affairs site under Frat and Sorority Life then Resources then Reports.

In the fall reports alpha phi and zeta pledge over quota every year and get their total membership up. Then you can see in the spring reports that they COB lots of new members in the spring but their membership still drops a lot by spring.

Even with pledging more girls than AXO and DDD every fall and adding more with COB in the spring, Alpha Phi and Zeta still don't have nearly the Total Active Members by spring that AXO and DDD have. Last spring AXO had 402 Total Active Members and DDD had 387 compared to Alpha Phi's 334.

Don't expect DDD or AXO to COB this spring. They are not worried about a new and higher membership total. You can look at the spring grade reports to see who usually does COB and how many new members they took in the past.

No matter what they did in the past for retention, you can also see from the grade reports that they hit quota in the past too, and didn't this year.

They were not number 1 and did not get all the girls they wanted on their 1st bid list, nor did they get the girls they preffed but didn't put on their 1st bid list. No matter how you try to spin it, not enough girls thought they were the best so they didn't make quota.

AChi and DDD do lose girls every year...you can see that from the numbers...don't pretend it doesn't happen

And they did do COB just two years ago...so they may have to again this year

Amazing observation. All chapters do lose members. Have you heard of graduation?

If either AXO or DDD do COB, it will be because there are like one or two girls the chapter wants, not because they have to find and pledge more members to replace the ones that leave.

Here is another observation. No one was crying on bid day because they were sad about getting DDD or AXO.

Ddd and axo be spinning like a Hillary surrogate on msnbc.

AXO not making quota could also mean that their release figures were just too high this year. Based on their RRS, they probably have very high release figures -- and yes, did not have enough quota additions to fill to quota.
