sdt or cob
by: Can't decideI can't decide which to take my chances on. I feel comfortable in SDT, but it doesn't feel like home, you know? But I'm scared to take my chances with COB since everyone had such huge pledge classes this year. There were only about three sororities I didn't like during formal recruitment, but I would consider myself lucky to be apart of any of them. Advice?
#2by: Hmm
This isn't the best place to ask this question. You have to go with your gut. Ask yourself what you really want out of the sorority experience and if you are okay with potentially getting nothing at all if it doesn't work out. Ask yourself What "feeling" are you looking for in concrete terms? Is the only way you can get that through COB, if that doesn't work will you regret not following through with SDT?
#3by: It sounds like
#6by: Why not
COB or rerushing is a gamble.. if you feel comfortable with SDT why don't you go through the rest of their recruitment and decide when/if they offer you a bid? They are such a tight knit group and honestly being in a bigger chapter isn't necessarily all rainbows and sunshine....
#7by: Honestly
Unless houses lose lots of pledges or have a bunch of fall graduates, I don't think there will be COB this year, or very minimal. The sororities that might have like gamma phi, theta, dz took so far over quota that they shouldn't need to. The other sororities don't need to, definitely. Not to trying to discourage you, but being realistic here.

You said you would "be lucky" to be in any other chapter. You don't think you'd be lucky to be SDT? You know they don't give everyone bids! Pretty much says it all there, you think they are beneath you!
