Imo the mommy leverage in some (yes only some) of the old row houses makes them take more "just ok" in-state legacies that would actually end up in middle of new row like Adpi and AOII if not for the moms. Actives I know in those houses don't like this but they can't bite the hand that feeds them.

Yep. But not really at xo, kappa, Tridelt (believe it or not). KD is just having to do what they are told by the moms and powers that be. Those nice furnishings came with strings attached...

@mb22 and Greek ranker So none of the new row alumni or chapter advisors have an opinion? I don't believe it. A lot of the new row alumni in my home town are crazy involved. When I rushed I had new row moms calling me who were talking to people at the houses here in Bama. I'm sure that was happening all over positive and negative! I don't know where new row gets off saying ONLY old row alumni and advisors have a say so. Y'all know it's true!

I can see the Old Row houses that are beholden to bidding wealthy in-state legacies really falling. It looks like AGD, DDD, KD, and to some extent XO took some really large girls who weren't particularly popular in high school. I can see those houses getting more socially inward and awkward with each other. It's been stunning how quickly AGD has fallen. They've been passed up by Zeta and probably Pi Phi as well. That's what happens when you invite back "connections" girls and pass on quality OOS. Kappa, Phi Mu, and AXO have always been more open, and it's benefitted them greatly.

Of these moms need to stay home and do mom things , it's like they want to live or relive the college years. Time to but out of your kids lives, it's very aggravating and awkward for the rest us. I'm not saying never come around, just don't try to control the sorority
