Aoii no question. The ranks here are too hard on them and too good to gpb. Gpb is fighting with theta to stay off bottom. Aoii is knocking on door to be lower middle. Aoii much more relevant. That said, all houses are great. There are just different degrees of great.

Gamma phi. Aopi is running fast to the bottom. Between snap bids and COBing, aopi is fighting for bottom with theta.

It's totally cool that gpb has a defender on here. If you fit with them go there. They are a great sorority. But there is no prestige difference between those two so go by heart not your head. Even if there was a prestige difference you still should follow your heart. There is no other way.

Aoii will have a decent PC this year and a better one next year since they're getting a brand new house, they're probably considered lower tier because they aren't as involved and into the whole Greek thing as most houses. Imo aoii is way more chill and frats like them better.

You should go to the one you feel the most connection with. You will probably be able to tell more after pref. If you're asking which one has more prestige here, I'd say G Phi but others might say AOII. I agree that G Phi has more national recognition, but for the next four years that doesn't really matter. If you like G Phi anyway, the house is a huge bonus, but if you like AOII better, a house shouldn't stand in your way. Even though they're getting a new one, it will be a while and you might end up not ever getting to live in. That might matter for some people.

Bottom line, don't drop out. Both of these are great choices and as everyone (who knows what's going on) says, there are no bad houses at Bama. Both of these houses will be full of girls who will be your support for the next four years and your "college friends" for the rest of your life. When it's time to get married they'll be your bridesmaids and they'll be godmothers to your children. Rank the houses according to your heart and be happy with the one that chooses you!

My roommate pledged gamma phi, she was crying in bid day pics. She quit after one of her actives got drunk, hooked up with some dude and abandoned her without a way to get her keys back since they were in the older girls apartment. Girl was complete bish to her. So if that's your idea of sisterhood...

I have friends in both houses and I would say that AOPis are sweeter more quiet girls. You don't hear much about them on campus but everyone says they're the girls you marry. The Gphis I know are a bit more outgoing I consider them to be my more wild friends. And they are always out at parties and whatnot having a good time. Both are great houses just different personalities! Tier wise I would say they're pretty similar it just depends who you ask although gphi does seem to be more on the upswing. Pick which one YOU like best!
