limit rush
by: ideas2800 people signing up for rush at Alabama is way too many. I think they need a cut off. They need to limit Alabama PNM's to 2000 sign ups maybe even less than that. 2800 is way too many and basically 50% of the freshman class at this school is Greek.

If there are so many people who want to rush then they should have the option to! There are also many people who drop out during rush if they aren't happy with their options or discover that Greek Life isn't for them. Only 33 percent of the undergraduate student body is Greek even though it may seem like a lot more.

1) The Greek community is in the minority not the majority when it comes to the entire student body. Fall 2015 there were 37,100 students (45.9% from Alabama and 54.1% from outside Alabama). There were 10,050 enrolled in Greek life (27%) in the Fall of 2015 and 9,653 (397 dropped for whatever reason) Spring 2016.
2) To say the Greek community should reduce the number of PNMs instead of keep up with the growth of the entire student body is absurd.
You should check your facts prior to posting things that are not true.

but thats how the recruitment process works. The number of girls that get taken in is based on how many rush. More rushees = larger pledge class.
If you limit how many girls each how can take that will just make it worse for PNMs not better....
Need more chapters (SK, AXiD...) and for SDT to come back to the row. Too bad no one can pony up with the $$$$.
