will i be looked down on for being a gdi?

by: Me

So I'm going to UA next fall 2017 for the full 4 years and I'm from Ireland so I don't think many sororities or any at all will want me. I've been reading up so much about Greek life, particularly in the south, trying to educate myself on it since we don't have it over here. I heard it's super competitive and many sororities take in girls that have connections/are in state. Will I bother rushing at all? I really want to, but if I don't get in will I be made fun of for being a GDI? (I know I'm really early since it's a whole year away but..)

Ireland is totally cool. Don't assume houses will not want you just for that.

How do you know that you are coming to UA next year? How do you know that you have been accepted?

Because the requirements for UA are to sign up for rush and spend $7,000 a year + tuition lol

Well my family have moved to the US this year and I've already thought about my college options. I know I have a very very good chance at getting in :) Well I hope!!

Hey girl! I've been to Ireland twice (for over a month total) and I LOVE it! It's such a beautiful country with a gorgeous landscape and super nice and friendly people! I think you should definitely consider rushing at UA. If anything, being from Ireland will help you to stand out in actives' minds, which is a good thing. Just remember to keep your grades up, get/stay involved in school activities and community service, and get recs (if you need info about recs, feel free to ask!) for every house. Good luck and Roll Tide :)

You act like UA is really hard to get in...news flash, its not. Let's not pretend UA is prestigious or anything, its not.
