really confused about drops
by: PNMOk, so our Rho Chis told us that we were ranking houses, not cutting them, but they also said that we should put the houses that we didn't want to see again in our bottom 4. I did that. Then, this morning, I realized that I had to go to my #2 and #3 again. Thank God I had enough of my top 12 invite me back that I don't have to go back to my #4 or #5. But I really can't see myself in #2 or #3. I just don't feel like I fit in with the girls at all...they are socially awkward, not pretty, and just weird and desperate. I'm hoping that when we go down to 8, I can cut them for good...but I don't know which other 2 houses to cut because I love 10 of the 12 I have for this round. Anyway, a girl in my group told me to tell 2 and 3 "thanks but no thanks, I don't think I belong in this house and I'm hoping for a better house". Is this good advice? I was embarrassed about even being seen at these houses again because I was afraid people would think I actually picked them ðŸ˜

Hey, I read your message above. Thanks for the compliments!! I am very social, stylish, and pretty. I know I prob shouldn't have said that about the philantrophies, but since you're in one of my Top 8, you have a good Philantrophy...not some random thing that college girls don't care about. KD and AGD were fine, but I'm OOS and I didn't really care that they cut me bc I would rather be in a house with girls from all different places. KD and AGD are filled with Alabama girls, which is fine if you want that, but I like my Top 8 so much better!! Oh, and IF I have to go back to AOPi/DZ/DG/APhi then I would be really upset.

I'm not a troll. I just don't really care about what I say on here bc it's an anonymous website and no one can figure out who I am. I'm just trying to get advce and share my opinions about houses. As long as I get AXO/ADPi/XO/DDD/KKG/PM/PBP/ZTA I'll be so happy!! I love these girls and some other PNMs might love girls in the others. If they fit in with the bottom/less desirable houses, that's good for them. I just know that I don't.

you met one maybe two girls at a house and that's how you decided you were embarrassed to be seen there? Our sororities are made up of 350+ members and every house has a variety of members, don't call a house bad becuase you met 2 women you didn't hit it off with. Congrats on being socially savvy, check your entitlement

Does this level of ridiculouslness remind anyone of the supposed "Theta" from last year who said the only reason she joined was so that she could transfer to UT?
IMO it's the very same person. They provide a lot of details and make very inflammatory statements. They both want to seem "better" but disappointed that they are in a "lower" house and they feel like they don't fit in.
Writing style is the same too.

YES!!! I remember her now! She was a total fake and she (or he) even came on here acting like she was a fake Pi Phi to give herself more credibility. Saying stuff like "I remember this PNM coming through and being rude" yada yada yada. This person is the exact same poster! Same MO and everything, wow. Must have a split personality.

this is obviously a troll, someone in one of her top 8 trying to make their house look better and emphasizing the "bottom house" thing, or just a random person trying to get a rise out of everyone. don't feed into it, just stop commenting. this is not a PNM. remember, this is an anonymous site, anyone can pretend to be anyone. no PNM would say things like this and most PNMS don't even go on this site, ironically it's pretty much all actives.

Let's get this clear:
YOU do not drop anybody.
If any of the sororities high on your list don't want to see you again - they release you. Yes, THEY can cut YOU, but YOU cannot cut THEM.
Go back and take another look with fresh eyes.
And if you still think you're too fabulous for them, yes, definitely! Tell them exactly what you told us and you will not see them again.
You will also not see ANY house again. Word goes up and down the row like wildfire. Even the "top" houses you think are worthy of you don't like their Panhellenic sisters being spat on.
Yes, you'll wind up with plenty of time to contemplate how wonderful you are.

This is the absolute truth! PNMs, you are not cutting houses- you are ranking them. Houses are doing the picking, not you. Having an attitude like this girl is a recipe for disaster.
