legacies
by: PNMI know that most houses have enough legacies to fill 1 or 2 pledge classes, but I was wondering if there are houses that their nationals makes them take a certain # or percentage of legacies out of the PNMs? Or do they not have to take any if they don't want to?
#4by: Legacies
My house is one that nationally puts a lot of emphasis on treating legacies well and giving them every extra consideration during rush. A legacy either needs to have "questionable" moral character, horrible grades, or just be an absolute witch during rush for us to cut her. Even though we're more generous than many to our legacies, there is no mandate about how many to pledge from nationals. Its an emotional week for legacies as they try to figure out if following their heart means following their familiy members or not.

Most, if not all, houses are required to give legacies particular consideration, but that is not the same as being required to give them bids. No legacy is guaranteed a bid. No house is required to take a certain number of legacies.
