difficulty
by: curiousWhich school has the most competitive rush? UGA, Bama or Ole Miss?
#3by: Well
#4by: I would say
Indiana, UT Austin, and possibly Ole Miss.
Indiana is the most difficult strictly in terms of supply and demand because most chapters still do bed rush. Recs don't do much good at IU unless they're for a chapter that allows live-outs.
UT has fewer chapters than Bama and way fewer PNMs willing to accept chapters that aren't Big Six (which is way snobbier than Old Row). Plus a lot of PNMs get completely released because they won't keep non–Big Six on their schedules.
Ole Miss also has fewer chapters but almost as many PNMs as Bama. They're a lot like UT in that many PNMs drop if they don't get XO/DDD/KD/DG/KKG/Phi Mu.
The great thing about Bama is that most PNMs suck it up and learn to love the chapters they have left.

And you think at Bama the alums are powerless?
Not a chance.
Tradition is everything at Alabama, and that's true for recruitment, too.
Blacks now accepted at Alabama?
We've been wanting to do that for years - yes, even the alums - but were terrified of how the fraternities would view us. Any sorority other than the Bama's Big Six would have been ostracized and ridiculed. But Alpha Gamma Delta - one of the six, the sorority of Mary Harmon Bryant and her descendents - went first, and it cleared the way for the rest of us.
Thank you, Alpha Gamma Delta!
But alumnae are still a big part of every chapter's recruitment team.
