which houses have 1 step full memberships vs 2 tie

by: hmm

Which houses have a 1 step full membership process with no stupid pledging that be in a room with your pledge brothers naked doing weird things to each other? And which houses should you avoid that have crazy embarrassing 2 tier pledging?

Go ATO or Lambda Chi. Anybody that walks upright can get a bid and you won't have to do any stupid stuff. "No stupid pledging". In fact, you won't really have to do anything. They'll have a bunch of other pledges that you'll like; guys just like you.

Good observation, I was just mentioning the other day LXA and ATO and a few others that I can't name off the top of my head are much more mature those houses attrack MEN. Immature BOYS who still want to act like they are in high school seem to head to the houses that still have a pledge process. I think there is a direct correlation. If some of these incoming freshman like to get naked with their pledge brothers and get kinky and touchy feely with their pledge paddle who am I to judge?....

So Im curious. I just randomly chose a organizion and went to ZBT's wiki page and it says:

"Zeta Beta Tau abolished the institution of pledging in 1989 as a way to combat and eliminate hazing, and replace the pledging process with one in which new members are accepted as brothers upon receiving a bid to the fraternity.[6] Zeta Beta Tau's decision to get rid of pledging did not involve an associate membership process however. Once a brother joins the fraternity he will receive all rights and responsibilities as the rest of the chapter, and shall be eligible for any position within the chapter regardless of how long he has been a brother."

So does this mean that ZBT attracts as you would say "men" and does not have stupid childlike pledging activities? Or do they possibly still act like "boys" despite the national guidelines?

I think ZBT, LXA, ATO, Sig Ep and even recently SAE recently got rid of their pledgeship. So you won't be marching up and down the row in your underwear or other childish things. I think there could be a few others that also got rid of their hell week, there are still a lot of clowns in the other houses with pledge hell week but most of those houses are going down the tubes here and nationally. With all the bad publicity and lawsuits eventually all the houses will abandon pledgeship for a more brother hood based on adulthood rather than adolescence.

So is that a known fact about these houses? Like is that a fact about zbt or are you basing off of the quote 2 comments up from Wikipedia?

If you think that just because a house nationally doesn't have pledgeship that means they don't actually do it you're kidding yourself

LXA does not have a pledgeship. You are an associate member when you accept the bid and after a certain amount of time and education you will be welcomed as a full member. LXA is the fastest growing fraternity in the nation with the largest amount of ACTIVE current members of any fraternity and to attest to their popularity also have the largest average membership per house.
