Advice to Sorority PNMs

by: recent alum

As a recent alum, know the rush process is stressful. Do not pay attention to the rankings on this site as they are filled with people grinding. The truth is every sorority house at Cornell has pretty girls, smart girls, and fun girls. You do want to find a strong sisterhood. Joining a house will give you the opportunity to make lifelong friends and to have a home when you return some day as an alum. Have an open mind. Know that this will work out and you will find the house that is right for you. You will also find a home at Cornell for the rest of your time on campus.

The rest of this is a game where people grind to push a house up in the ranking. Focus on the girls you are meeting and the place you feel most comfortable and it will work out.

This needs to go to every PNM- this is fact! Do you want a great sisterhood and lifelong friends, or the most parties. If you are joining a sorority for lifelong friends most of those houses ranked bottom mid and mid houses rise to the top- if you are looking for how many nights people party then maybe look at the current rankings. Know what you want- every sorority has great, smart and beautiful girls, but some have more than their share of catty mean girls.
