Actually Accurate Sorority Descriptions

Core 4- Aphi, DG, Kappa, Theta

These sororities have consistent mixers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They mix with the C4 frats (AD, Sig Chi, Snu, DU) but have larger bigways with the upper mids. DG tends to take more international and very rich girls (they have the highest dues). Kappa is known for being overwhelmingly Jewish and for rushing friend groups. Aphi and Theta are the more genuine of the two and have the most diversity (theta specifically). These sororities are also higher commitment and require you to go to more events than a lower tier sorority may

Upper Mid
AZD, SDT

Has consistent mixers on Thursday, Friday, Saturday with the upper mid frats (Chi Psi, Sig Pi, DX, ZBT) and also occasionally mixes with SAE. Occasionally gets invited to higher frats (limited bands) SDT takes all Jewish girls. AZD takes mostly all blondes. They used to have more diversity but that changed last year. AZD is known to have a lot of drama and very defined friend groups but great for girls who really like to go out. Sdt is known to have a pretty good sisterhood. Joining one of these would provide a similar experience to a core 4 with less commitment

Mid
Pi Phi, Aephi, Tridelt

These sororities are still selective and take a lot of girls who are more academic and want to balance being in a sorority with other commitments. They have consistent mixers on Friday and Saturday with mid tier frats (SAE, Lambda, Pike, Pikapp) with pi phi and aephi getting the occasional ZBT invite for bigger parties. Aephi takes a lot of Jews and is closest with Pikapp. Tridelt is known to be the most diverse also taking more alternative girls and is closest with Lambda. Pi phi does not have much of a stereotype and is seen as the highest ranked of this tier also being pretty diverse, mixing the most with SAE. This tier of sororities still goes out and is known to have better friendships and a more supportive culture than higher ranked sororities.

Lower Mid
KD, AXO
These sororities tend to give most people a bid, KD is more selective though. These sorority have mixers with lower mid frats (Phi Tau, DKE) but they also occasionally mix with Pike and Pikapp. This is a great option for people who want to be in a sorority but aren’t big fans of going out. They both have a great sisterhood and really nice girls. KD has historically been ranked slightly higher though AXO did very well with recruitment last year. AXO is very close with Phi Tau, while KD is closer with Pike.


The bottom sororities (Phi Sig, and Phi Mu) were removed from campus for not getting enough girls and the frats they mixed with eg. Phi Delt now mix with no one. The point being that getting a bid at any sorority is great and you will be getting a sisterhood of cool and amazing girls wherever you go. Please don’t let rankings determine which house you join, because they all have their own benefits drawbacks and know that however the process goes, you’ll end up where ur meant to be!!!
