Going cold. How screwed am I?

Ideally I want to be in a frat that mixes(don't care with what srat as long as they mix), but I don't really know anybody in greek life as 18 creds in engineering utterly ruined my social life. There's one guy in a mid that went to my high school and that's about it. How much harder does that make rush for me?
