Get over yourselves

We’re at an Ivy League school but let’s be real it isn’t HYP. None of us are so good looking, so smart, so great, or so highly desired by everyone.
These manufactured hierarchies are insane. It’s beyond weird that you’d rather mix with the same few houses over and over and over again every weekend than meet anyone who might be “below” you, probably just because they didn’t know anyone during rush. It’s such a flawed system.
Any frat that won’t mix with certain sororities can’t call themselves gentlemen. Any srats that won’t mix with certain fraternities can’t call themselves nice people either.
The opinions you hold of yourselves because of these “rankings” don’t actually align with anything. In the real world, there is absolutely no correlation. In fact, most successful people were not considered “cool” in college. Get out of this toxic echo chamber and you’ll see that

But why? Why not do a 4-6 way or something to cut the awkwardness, have some fun, and meet new people? This whole concept of top and bottom houses is silly. Most people are just normal. You see people in your classes and dorms. You’re probably even friends with some of them outside your narrow Greek life experience. It’s so beyond boring to mix with the same people again and again, every single week. And if the extremes won’t mix, at least meet some new people in the middle. Shake it up, have fun, do something different. It might surprise you!
