Middle fraternities: a guide

This is not a ranking just a list! Doesn’t mean anything if one frat is written below another. Just trying to give vibes to rushes

Lambda: on sopro until spring, historically does quite well with sororities. Decent hazing, close brotherhood, mix of artsy and sporty guys. Great house over the gorges with nice gazebo

Pikapp: though they can’t throw rn because they live in aepi, they are the biggest party hounds of mids, throw the most, haze the most, arguably drink the most. Does quite well with sororities. Watch out for your GPA though

Phi tau: lightest hazing, worst physical house but best annex and great brotherhood. Known for “tau Tuesdays” and a decent amount of stoners but that’s dying down with younger classes

Pike: most brothers of any house on campus, known for taking a lot of “work hard play hard” engineers. Minimal hazing but more than phi tau. They do not have the “spike” reputation of other chapters nationwide

Psk: historically called “the White House on the corner,” psk arguably has the best physical house of the mids. Sorority relations catching up to pike, took a great spring class last year, and brothers are generally just down to earth people
