Recolonizing houses:

Brand New (recognising this year):

Sammy (Sigma Alpha Mu)
Booted spring 21 but back now. Still looking for a new house after losing hillcrest (SAE), rumours say they might move into Phi Psi’s old house (next to DTD) but who knows.

Fiji (Phi Gamma Delta)
Booted 2020. Since their seniors now were pledges when they were kicked, they can still technically be a part of everything and have a good annex on Eddy St. House may still be a dorm, probably gonna get it back next year. Biggest physical house on campus on West located by SAE, AD, Chi Psi, and Sig Pi, and used to have the biggest brotherhood on campus too

Llenroc (Delta Phi)
Booted 2020. Very nice house (Ezra’s mansion) but it lacks party space and is far away from most other houses (down by the cemetery). New guys have been active with lots of alumni support

Somewhat New (recolonised last year):

Sig Nu:
Booted 2018(?). Decent physical house but far out of the way above Ithaca Falls. Don’t know much about them but seems like they already have a good amount of guys. Used to be the football frat and hosted big slopeday pre’s

SAE (Sigma Alpha Epsilon):
Booted 2011 for a pretty serious reason (look up Cornell SAE and you’ll see). Need numbers to get their house back, but once they do it should be a game changer for them (arguably top 3 best physical house on campus with a massive deck overlooking Cayuga lake, tons of single rooms, a die court, and a large basement party space). Located in the same block as Fiji

Overall not much is known about them besides their physical houses and pre-kicked off reputations which means nothing. If you like putting in work and building something from the ground up these might be for you, but for the most normal Greek life experience go somewhere established. It’s impossible to tell how these houses will turn out in the end since some recent recolonizations have been flops (DKE) and others went ok (Chi Psi). At the end of the day, find somewhere where you like the guys and the vibe. There’s a house for anyone on this campus if you look hard enough.
