New frats and their description for the frosh

GR these days has been full of other houses tearing each other down and a lot of bs posts. Here’s something actually helpful for the frosh that are looking to join a new house.

1- Fiji
Got kicked off for hazing. Was upper mid before that
Pros: a lot of dope brothers from old Fiji remain. They will be operating out of collegetown through their annexes. One of the best physical houses on campus. Old brothers will do a great job of guiding new classes
Cons: won’t get their house till fall 2023 and won’t be as socially relevant as they were before

2- Llenroc
Got kicked off for hazing, upper house before that
Pros: great alumni support. Sick physical property (beautiful with a big yard). Have been operating underground so expect to find dope brothers that can guide you.
Cons: no sorority relations. One of the most hated houses on campus because they caused the liquor ban

3- Sammy
Got kicked off for hazing, lower mid before that
Pros: old brothers still remain so they can guide you (they only got kicked off in fall of 2021) so they’ve really only been gone for 1 year. They will still be mixing with aephi. They also will have a physical house (phi mu’s old house)
Cons: worst physical house on campus but they might get the phi psi house. Still going to be lower mid when back

4- SAE
Got kicked off for a reverse hazing incident that resulted in the death of a brother, top before that
Pros: best physical house on campus, amazing national support
Cons: squiddy and weird founding class. Not going to be socially relevant. Won’t get their house back till they get 30+ brothers to fill the old SAE house

5- Sigma Nu
Got kicked off for hazing, upper mid before that
Pros: good nationals support
Cons: squid pc that’s prolly going to creep you out during rush. lower mid rn and only mix with PSS. The hype has died down. I wouldn’t rush them

If you’re a chill guy, you can get a bid at any house without dirty rushing. But if you find yourself rejected from the house you wanna be in and you have a core friend group of chill guys. I would say it’s better to join one of the houses above and create your own ‘brand’ than be in a house you know you won’t fit in
