(Serious) Is it that bad being in a bottom srat

by: muji

How would being in a bottom srat affect me? Is my social life pretty much ruined? And do people in general make assumptions about those in bottom srat. Basically I’m trying to figure out if it’s better off if I drop out

I was in this situation and I dropped. But for me, it was more because I didn’t like the girls and the vibes of the houses than the fact that they were “bottom tier.”

It depends, if we’re being honest, the very lowest house (not to name names), you could be judged for being it, especially by guys. Any of the other “bottom” sororities, most of campus won’t and the ppl that do would judge you about being in anything less than core four, so ignore them anyways.

Tbh if you're joining a sorority for a social reason I would not join anything below mid. If you care more about sisterhood and meeting people than you do about parties or social status, then join any sorority you'd like

Yes, but also there’s plenty of girls in bottom tier houses that date athletes or guys in upper houses. As long as your confident and/or attractive you’ll be fine.

I'd say... (assuming you start as an average person in Greek life)

Joining a sorority HELPS your social life and gives you positive clout in these houses:
DG, Kappa, APhi, Theta

Joining a sorority generally DOES NOT HARM your social life, could POTENTIALLY positively impact your social life (in lower circles) in these houses:
SDT, AZD

Joining a sorority generally DOES NOT HARM your social life, could POTENTIALLY negatively impact your social life in these houses:
Pi Phi, AEPhi

Joining a sorority generally HARMS your social life in these houses:
KD, AXO, DDD, PSS

honestly I do not think pi phi / aephi will negatively harm your social life whatsoever & honestly KD is pretty neutral; they have such an eclectic mix of girls its kinda neutral and literally just depends on who you are. think kd has some athletes too

Honestly joining DDD is a bigger red flag for a guy than joining AXO or PSS

If you are really insecure or care a lot about what people say about your house then don’t join a lower srat. If you vibe well with a house then in my opinion it’s worth joining even if it’s not highly ranked

No one in real life (class or clubs) cares in the slightest. Guys don't care v much either, it's more about being attractive. I know friend groups from like every house that end up just being groupies at top or mid frats despite whatever sorority they're in. When you aren't on this site, no one in greek life acts like they're better than anyone unless they have some serious self esteem issues haha
