advice for a freshman

I am an international student part of a varsity team here at cornell. I want to rush a frat with a lot of athletes. problem is that due to cultural differences, I don't really have the best social skills. any tips on what I should do right now my fall semester to set myself up for rush spring semester? also any recommendations for frats that I should rush? thanks!

Gonna be honest, I don't think the fact that you are an athlete is going to help you much if you are not very social. Given your personality, would not think the top/uppers are a good fit for you even though they usually have a lot of athletes/money. I would target the upper mids/mids.
