Hahaha Truth hurts
by: just the truthWe all know most of Cornell is a consolation prize for being an upper middle class prep school student. The real brilliant kids only attend Caltech, MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Penn, UChicago, Columbia and maybe Cornell Engineering. The rest are just a whole tier below man. Is Cornell good? Absolutely. Is it elite? No with the exception of its Engineering, Math and CS programs.

while I do agree that UChicago and Penn are better schools than Cornell and def have a much more intellectually smarter undergrad population on average, most people get those two confused with other schools (UIC or Loyola and Penn State). And with regards to Caltech, most people outside of STEM don't even know that school's identity. Cornell might not be at their tier but it has solid name brand.
