Should I rush SigNu?
by: sophWhat's the deal w/ SigNu? Heard they're recolonizing, was wondering if it'd be worth it to be part of the founding class. Heard they had some clout before they got kicked off so can we at least expect them to start off as a mid house?

They already have a founding class, but maybe they'll still take another guy or so. They were the traditional football house and were a strong upper tier house in 2018. In 2016 and 2017 they were hosted really big parties on slopeday, with concerts and 1000+ people. Definitely worth checking out.

They were a better version of TDX. Similar to PhiPsi -- partied hard, tough pledging, lot's of athletes. They also threw some of the biggest events on campus b/c their yard and house are really big, plus they had athlete clout. Who knows how they'll turn out this year, but they certainly have a history of being a good frat.

Don’t listen to these most likely current sig nu founders. There is no indication they will be a good frat. There are no remnants of sig nu old left. This is an entirely new house. No house that has restarted has turned out good. Don’t listen to people talking about how it was a good house

What I am saying is Sig Nu was a top/upper house in its last run. However, this new Sig Nu has 0 connection to that sig nu in terms of people. So if you are rushing them, dont listen to stories about the old sig nu, focus on the current kids.

rush at your own peril. Don't listen to people who talk about what the house was. There is no connection between the old house and this one. Don't join thinking it will be an easy way to get into a top/upper house because it is not. Join if you like the new guys and can see yourself building the house together.

It was a top 7 house. That's a fact. SNU potentially doing well this rush won't hurt other frats' rankings.
