Greekrank killed Phi Mu

by: truth

Title says it all. People here are so shallow about rankings. Yeah the administration is killing us but at this rate we'll do it to ourselves if people keep saying it's not worth it to join a frat below C4 mid or any srat below mid. We need more frats/srats not less and this site isn't helping orgs like Phi Mu get good PCs. They are nice girls and didn't deserve the treatment they got. This should be a wake up call for people to stop being so obsessed with rankings (stop bashing other orgs based on this too) and enjoy Greek life while it lasts.

Everything at Cornell is so competitive. Everyone wants to be the best of the best. No one wants to think they’re in a ‘bottom’ house and lots of people in more exclusive houses want feel to superior to others. I call it Harvard rejection derangement syndrome and unfortunately it proliferates Cornell at all levels from clubs to internships to Greek life.

It’s refreshing to see something this intelligent on Greekrank.

I think it’s honestly more of a competitive school thing than just a Cornell thing. The wanting to be better than others and prestige-whoring is just as bad at Harvard if not worse.
