New Houses in Fall?
by: Question?How will rush for SAE and Sig Nu work in the fall? Will it be open rush like for other houses or will it be based on connections and stuff like that?

Fall founding class decides everything. If they pick up guys who got cut from top houses in the spring (guys who were close to getting in but messed up rush) they could start as an upper mid frat. But if they hand out bids to randos then they could be rock bottom. Gut tells me SAE will start as upper mid and SigNu as lower mid.

it is a very hypothetical situation. (not tryna start an argument just having a discussion). Thing is it which athletes are they going to pull. Basketball, Hockey, Lacrosse dont rush. Squash p much joins DU/SigPhi/AD. Football has TDX. Other sports are spread around and are not as concentrated. Also a lot (I would say at least 75%) of the kids who got cut by SX/DU are kids who ultimately joined uppers/upper mids (based off what my frineds have said). I think it is very very optimistic to assume they will start that high.

There’s always baseball, sprint football, polo (ad used to have multiple polo kids but not anymore), swim, and the younger football kids aren’t as TDX heavy so either house could snag a couple football guys.

Sprint and swimming were mainly in PhiPsi, so SAE could take all of those guys

If they pull SX and DU final cuts and athletes that didn’t rush this year, they could conceivably start mixing with C4 srats in the spring, which would put them at upper mid if not upper. Hypothetical obviously, but it’s certainly possible for SAE to start very high on the hierarchy.
