Cornell isn’t even all that jaw dropping compared to say Columbia, Princeton, MIT, etc .... I bet y’all will have to still prove yourself for years to be considered elite level just like us at UT... granted Cornell is an amazing school, it’s sheer size and student body quality makes more comparable to my top state school than a fellow Oxbridge/Ivy or MIT or even a Harvey Mudd

ASU guy checking in again. UT Austin is a way better school than Cornell. Cornell is widely know as the worst “Ivy League” school. Have fun graduating with your zoom degree, while at ASU we actually have in person classes. Who are they really gonna hire? The zoom degree kid?

And by the way, I got accepted into “Ivy League” schools and turned them down for ASU. I’d rather be the smartest of the bunch than be an average/bad student at a school like Cornell. You won’t stand out. I will.

You can convince yourself that you can get above with hardwork like some kind of sucker, but many of us have parents who went to Cornell and went to top private high schools where tons of kids come here. Exactly what I’m saying... you guys at Cornell are more similar to us at UT Austin in almost every way... you don’t compare with the top Ivies which are more like Oxford and Cambridge... in fact without your engineering and science programs, I think Cornell would be no better than UVa... and Cornell’s STEM programs are solid but again, there are many Ivy League programs with better researchers and connections in STEM that are ranked lower due to less population and research volume.... Princeton, Harvard, Columbia and UPenn all have stronger alumni base in Tech, Medicine and fundamental sciences research... Again no one is denying that Cornell is fantastic, but it’s as great of a school as UT Austin in the mind of grad schools and big firms

Just look at how many frats you have lol and the kids who transfer in to Cornell from UT Dallas lmao

Cornell is no better or prestigious than UT Austin or UCLA or UVa.... your school provides the same environment and same kind of student body as ours and most of us are here for almost no cost

^I think you're genuinely very confused chief. Cornell straightup beats almost every non-ivy (except Stanford, MIT, CalTech, UChicago, and Duke for certain programs) and Brown/Dartmouth when it comes to graduate school placement and hiring at big firms.

You literally just focus on tech/engineering, but the ivy-league is about connections to Wall Street and Consulting. Never once even heard of someone from any UT schools at any of the firms I've looked into lmao

Look I’m just saying Cornell is a great school, but not too much better than UT... and yes we have McK and Bain recruiting too because of our engineering and McCombs business school ... it’s the same thing as you guys... we even get preferential treatment with biotech and chemical engineering firms because Texas is big on that... and we get the highest treatment along with Rice and WashU when it comes to standard West Coast Tech and South/Midwest region Investment banking

UT Austin is actually a pretty solid school that is one step removed from Gtech, Michigan and Berkeley and on part with UCLA and UNC.... with that being said GTech and Berkeley are two steps removed from Cornell
