depends what you define as a decent bid. I am in an upper/upper mid house but I define a decent bid as a C4 Mid bid as upper mid is only gonna give like 50-60 bids (mostly Lambda) excluding dirty rush amongst 5 frats. A C4 Mid is still a great experience so I would say check them out this rush, see if u fit. If you do, great you get to live in house with your boys next year. If you don't fit, can always rerush upper mid in the fall. However, no upper mid house or above will even consider you. C4 Mid too is a stretch but maybe Pi Kapp or Phi Tau will consider you as they have to replace their best classes. Pike will bid anyone who breathes.

So, will upper mid frats like Chi Phi, Sigma Pi, Zeta Beta Tau, or Chi Psi give me a bid if I cant make night events due to the fact that I'm not on campus?

U have basically no shot at any of those without being here in person. ZBT is also a mid frat, they are a touch below the others.

pledging would not be that much of an issue, the highest you would get is lower mid (KSig, Sammy) or maybe reach to some C4 Mid. Those houses will mainly just have getting to know the brohood as pledging which can be done over zoom. The house experience is what truly bonds guys to the frat.

yeah you live in house generally sophomore year. That is generally for any frat where you truly from brohood bonds so definitely keep an open mind and rush.

I want to, but I also need to be realistic about my chances at any good houses. Where could I get a bid if I'm remote (other than the garbage frats.)?

as i have mentioned on other posts, the relevant houses (C4 Mid and above) are more or less not gonna give you a shot. Maybe have an outside chance at houses like PiKapp, PhiTau, and ZBT where they have good senior classes graduating but that is about it, an outside chance. Would give it a shot anyway because the house experience

and upper (AD/Sig Pi) will maybe give 5-10 bids (including snap bids) out to non dirty rush kids and will have at least 300 kids check them out soooooo.....
