Any way to connect with frats b4 rush?

Depends on how you do it really. It is not really like linkedin where you can just hit guys up. Really just varies. You don't want to come up as too much of a tryhard. Given it is zoom based you might be able to get away with reaching out to the recruitment chairs of houses and asking for a quick zoom to learn more about their house. But I think this would only work for the C4 mid frats and below.
Not much you can do. Rush starts when you first arrive at Cornell if you want a top/upper house. Kinda blows a bit because in normal years, guys with a more average background (local HS, random city) or guys with no connections could get into the dirty rush process by talking and meeting with bros in oweek. This year from what I have heard (in a top/upper/uppermid frat), 7 of the top 8 (excluding DX) have their classes pretty set and are going to be very competitive.

regardless of that fact, depends what you are shooting for. If you want a top/upper, not much you can do right now to work for your advantage. If you want a upper mid, not much unless you personally know a couple of guys in those houses. If you want a C4 mid, might get away with reaching out to recruitment chairs but even that is like a 50/50 because the C4 mids are still pretty choosy (aside from Pike). Anything lower and they will be asking you to join not the other way around.
