Comprehensive Rush Guide for Freshmen

This is it. The ultimate rush guide with all details relevant to freshmen. Vibes of each house, difficulty of getting a bid, difficulty of pledging.

Sigma Chi:
very fratty and rowdy, strong state school frat vibes. Brothers are your typical rowdy/preppy frat bros.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 10/10 – fill up most of their PCs through dirty rush. You may be able to get a bid during rush if you vibe well but chances are slim.
Difficulty of pledging: 10/10, very intense pledging process.

Delta Upsilon:
Similar to Sig Chi, very fratty and rowdy, state school feel, but more of a southern-prep vibe than Sig Chi. Lots of preppy boarding school kids who love to throw down hard.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 10/10, like other top houses, fills most spots with dirty rush kids, but if you vibe well, you have a chance.
Difficulty of pledging: 10/10, intense pledging.

Sigma Phi:
Probably the preppiest/WASPiest house on campus, but surprisingly diverse. Tied with AD for wealthiest house on campus. Lots of rich prep school brothers, very soft/chill vibe. Most "ivy league" feel.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 10/10, same as SX and DU, fill up most spots with dirty rush kids.
Difficulty of pledging: 6/10, although it's a top house, the vibe tends to be softer so pledge process isn't nearly as trying as SX/DU.

Alpha Delta Phi:
Wealthy house like Sigma Phi, but international/metropolitan wealth vibes as opposed to preppy vibes. Throw down hard like Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 8/10, dirty rush heavily, but will lose rushees to SX/DU/SigPhi, and so tend to snap bid kids during rush.
Difficulty of pledging: 10/10, notorious for being perhaps the hardest pledging of all houses on campus.

Sigma Pi:
Preppy and soft house like Sigma Phi, lots of finance bros.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 7.5/10, dirty rush significantly, but lose rushees to top houses.
Difficulty of pledging: 6/10, not terribly trying pledge process

Chi Psi:
House is a mixed bag. Upperclassmen aren't very remarkable, but latest pledge classes have been much stronger. Half of the house (the newer PCs) are typical fratty and preppy bros. Other half (upperclassmen) tend to be more soft.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 7/10, this is where it becomes a bit more feasible to get a bid without being dirty rushed if you vibe well with the brothers. Still fill around 60-70% of PC with dirty rush kids, but will lose rushees to above houses
Difficulty of pledging: 5/10, used to be notoriously trying pledging, but has become much easier since they came back on campus.

Chi Phi:
Very athletic house, lots of sprint football kids. Very fratty and rowdy, like to drink a lot and throw down hard. Upper mid equivalent of SX/DU.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 7/10, similar difficulty as Chi Psi.
Difficulty of pledging: 8/10, like other rowdy/athletic houses, pledging can be very trying, although not to the extent of the top houses.

Delta Chi:
Soft house with preppy vibes, somewhat wealthy. Very chill as opposed to rowdy brothers.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 7/10, similar to other upper mid houses.
Difficulty of pledging: 5/10, average difficulty.

Lambda Chi Alpha:
Traditionally rowdy house with typical fratty brothers, somewhat preppy vibes, lot of golfers. Has become a bit softer since sopro, but still pretty fratty/rowdy.
Difficulty of getting a bid: 6/10, if you vibe well with the brothers you have a good shot.
Difficulty of pledging: 7/10, bit more difficult than softer houses.
