The only reason there are posts on greekrank hating on Theta is because the Phi Psi kids who want to go to DKE are still salty that they got kicked, even though its well known that the host is completely responsible for the events they throw. What happened was a tragedy, and in my opinion probably wasn’t anyone’s direct fault. But Phi Psi hosted the event that kids intoxicated, and therefore took the liability of the bad things that can happen when kids are drunk.

how are we judging all of these sororities for the actions of a few members each? as if girls cant make decisions on their own independent of their org
get mad at the individuals but youre not helping anyone trying to tear down entire organizations

Sigh. Not sure how many times this needs to be said but if you choose to rush a frat or srat that dirty rushes, hazes, bribes, etc., then you are choosing to be a part of that culture and are thereby associating yourself with it. Some of us purposely chose to rush “lesser” tier frats or srats to avoid this culture. Be accountable

Also a lot of girls in kappa (a majority of the house) and aphi were at that event and it wasn’t just a couple girls in theta at that event either. It’s right to blame the organizations if so many girls in each house are fine with attending such an event cause they know they won’t get punished for it by Cornell or nationals.

Yeah this comment wasn’t from an upper frat and was definitely theta trying to make themselves look good. Just admit y’all, kappa, and aphi were all at said rush event, and were pouring alcohol down freshmen’s throats. Also, actually show some remorse. You guys still partying and having mixers that weekend and during the ban wasn’t a good look at all.
