After going through rush, and knowing too much about rankings and wanting to join core 4 etc (I'm now in an upper mid-tier house and so so so happy!!)... I am really sad people always hate on Phi Mu!!! I seriously SERIOUSLY liked them SO much better than a few of the houses rated right above them.
Obviously rankings don't matter and it is silly to think they are accurate, but Phi Mu has really seriously wonderful and fun-seeming girls!! Their house is so nice now that they nationals came and did it all and I'm just confused why people feel the need to always hate!! I honestly would have joined Phi Mu, but I wouldn't have joined some others... idk... just start giving them some credit!

And yet, people still refuse to give them a chance which is why they are struggling. Having friends in this chapter, I have heard horror stories about how PNMs treat them. Literally making them cry, not saying a word, etc and they are still being allowed to join other chapters. It's disgusting and I wish people would realize that they treat these ladies like they're less than human

I 100% agree that you should never bully people during rush or be rude etc. However, the problem stems from the fact that girls don’t see another way to cut that house. I ended up going back to phi my three times, despite ranking them near the bottom on each occasion. I understand that in a perfect world I should have “given them a chance,” but frankly I was more interested in other houses and wanted to be with my friends (and before you start calling me social climby, the houses i liked were all “lower” houses, just weren’t phi mu specifically). The current system doesn’t give girls a way to cut a house, regardless of where the house ranks the pnm. The way the algorithm works forces girls to be borderline rude if they want to stop going back to a certain house. This isn’t just true of phi mu either; I have a friend who ended up at a house where she had legacy up until pref, despite having no interest in that house. If panhel really sees this as a problem, they need to adjust the way the algorithm works so pnms don’t try and force their scores way down.

So being rude to a house that you are not interested in is not gonna get you your top choice if your top choices aren't interested in you...

wtf this is really sad to hear!!!! can u elaborate on the part making them cry? i have friends in phi mu but not very close so i don't think it's appropriate to ask but really wish them the best
