chi psi/chi phi are hiding so pro from rushes
by: RipChi Psi/Chi Phi were both in trouble for hazing/late night events respectively and are currently under a form of probation sanctioned by the University. IFC does not mandate a law that forces fraternities to tell you anything about their social standing during rush. Consequently, a fraternity can be on So Pro and not mention it to rushes at all. It’s unfortunate that this is allowed, because kids looking forward to social events and mixers will realize too late. Chi Psi and Chi Phi will tell rushes that they’re on So Pro only after they accept a bid.

Ok so with your logic, kids shouldn’t rush sig phi cause they’re on so pro too, and given DU’s history of being on and off so pro..kids shouldn’t be rush there either, right? Aight cool.

No, OP is just saying that they may be on So Pro even though they could be denying it, which is so messed up. Imagine not knowing that you can't host any events or mixers for the rest of the year until after you accept a bid.

Kids who are trying to join Sig Chi and Alpha Delt underground know how much they have at risk. However, if Chi Phi and Chi Psi aren't telling rushes that they're on So Pro, those kids have no idea what they're getting into.

Ask anyone in IFC or Senior Leadership at Cornell that deals with GreekLife. Chi Phi and Chi Psi are both likely in trouble, maybe even for the fall semester too.

ok listen. This is true: Chi psi got in trouble/raided last semester right after the phi psi incident. This is also true: alc was found in chi phi a couple days ago by the cops, which is a problem bc houses can't have any alc in them during rush. who knows what will actually happen to them, but don't pretend that tHeRe IsN't AnY IsSuEs with them.

It's true. IFC cannot disclose much information because of confidentiality but Chi Psi is definitely under probation. Chi Phi has yet to be completely confirmed, but it seems likely.
