is dx becoming irrelevant?

A friend of mine in DX told me this morning how they stopped mixing with core 4 + sororitys like tridelt and SDT. Don't really know why, but was just wanting others opinions. Are they becoming irrelevant/ why are their sorority relations becoming so bad?
