fiji
by: sundayleagueHaven't seen a lot about Fiji on here but I know that they're pretty big nationally. How are they at cornell are they considered a top house or are they close to getting there? and what's the deal with no house parties and how much longer will that be the case

They're on the border between upper-mid and upper. They've been on social probation by nationals for the last couple years for some drinking or hazing incident, so they can't host parties at their house, and need to use their annex or co-host with other houses. However, this hasn't really hurt them and from what I've heard they been ranked around 10 for the last 5 years or so. They have strong relations with Pi Phi and Tri Delt, and tend to co-host parties with Llenroc, Phi Sig, Phi Tau, and maybe Sig Nu. They're one of the largest frats on campus (~100 kids) with the largest physical house as well. Brotherhood is fairly strong, though. They also have some of the hardest pledging on campus which helps create the brotherhood unity. Fairly diverse house, but most guys are business majors, Hotelie's, or ILR. Known for heavy drinking, good personalities, and bringing a lot of energy to parties. Definitely a frat worth considering this rush.
