is the gpa requirement a thing?

I saw there was a pledge requirement of like 2.7 GPA...
As a freshman my high school gpa wasn't quite there, test scores and extra curricular made up for it.
Will it matter? or can/will it be overlooked?

It can't be overlooked. A handful of sororities also have their own minimum GPA too which are higher than a 2.7

You will be cut the first day, because of grades! Work on bring grades up for College then try COB in January .Or wait till Fall 2016. Plus new sorority will be on campus AZD:)

unfortunately, many houses cut at a 3.0 or higher, that 2.7 is just the minimum for everyone. I would work really hard on grades this year and then if you rush as a sophomore, your high school GPA wont matter :)

I can't and won't be overlooked. Sororities really care about their GPA and are very competitive about it. They want to take smart girls, not girls that are barely getting by or not even there.
