I'm planning on going through rush this fall and have been getting my recs together this summer. I wanted to know how many I should get for each sorority. I'm trying to get more than one but one some I have multiple but I don't want a house to say "oh here come another for XYZ". Also, is it better to have college or alumna recs or both? Thanks!

Agree with poster who says there are about ten really good houses at UGA as opposed to the maybe three or four at other schools. Rush is brutal and competitive but most girls I know are happy with where they end up and realize after its over they are lucky to get into ANY house at UGA. O, and give the Hailey thing a rest-she's just one girl who screwed up...

I'm going through recruitment soon and I was wondering why girls bash DG and AGD so much? I know those are supposed to be the bottom sororities, but if they're already bad then why people worry about them? And why instead of helping them and trying to make them better girls just bash them? Or are they really that bad? I'm not trying to defend those groups, cause I really don't care, I was just wondering...

DG and AGD are considered bottom at UGA but they are NOT bad houses. Mostly they get bashed probably because people take the all 5s way to seriously and don't know how to just let self ranking go. Every house at UGA is good comparatively and believe it or not most sororities actually get along with each other.

really aren't bad. No house at UGA is truly horrible in my opinion. DG and AGD get bashed alot because they are different but different can be good. AGD has a really pretty house and DG is really involved on campus and with community service. Getting a bid from ANY house at UGA is an honor. The house you end up at is the best house for you and where your supposed to be and if it's DG or AGD then by all means go there.

It truly is tough to rank the sororities because they're all great. DG and AGD are both very involved around campus. Even though I'd say that DG is last, they aren't a bad sorority. The only reason I'd say they are last is because they haven't been on campus as long as AGD. Put the Georgia DG girls on any other campus, and they'd be awesome. In fact, the caliber of girls in any sorority at UGA will blow away sororities at other colleges and universities. When you have 1500 girls going through recruitment, and quota is usually around 900, it is truly an honor to get a bid from any of the 17 chapters. Think about the 500-600 girls that are completely broken hearted.

they all have something to show for themselves... UGA greek life is clearly better than any other school!

for the most part except it is hard to say KD is most supportive of other sororities after the listsev incident. Right or wrong, it still happened. I would use a different description for KD.
