rushing as a sophomore

by: Aggie

I'm currently a freshman and did not rush coming into a&m. I now regret it a lot because I wish I had a sisterhood of friends. I have friends to write me rec letters for next year if I decide to rush. Is it acceptable to rush as a sophomore. I can't decide if I should.

Some houses may cut you because you're a sophomore, but other houses just base it off of your personality, GPA, ect.
Personally, id say go for it if you really want to do it. It's worth it, and if not, you can go through open recruitment/rush if the houses have that after formal recruitment

What would you say about going through recruitment as a junior?

This is all BS! Every house has a QUOTA for different classes! Meaning they want every grade!!! We want you to go greek & be a part of the community!!!

all sororities on campus have, at the very least, one upperclassmen in their most recent pledge class. I don't know any that look at being a sophomore or junior as a negative thing. I would definitely say to rush, just my personal opinion!

Definitely acceptable to rush as a sophomore!! I rushed as a sophomore, a ton of my friends rushed as sophomores, I think 20+ of our last pledge class was sophomores and juniors. As long as you have good grades and at least some involvement, and connections in some of the houses you have a pretty good chance.
