no it's a women's org that uses greek letters and "coincidentally" uses terms that are super similar to sororities (e.g. "bid day" and "sisterhood round"). i don't usually hate on men's and women's orgs but this one is very obviously pretending to be a sorority for whatever reason. they market to oddballs who got dropped and Blinn kids (who to their credit aren't allowed to rush actual sororities). the only thing they have going for them is the occasional mix with a mid frat

you obviously don't know much about this org. my sister was in it - she and those she became friends with in the group did not go through panhellenic recruitment. Alpha zeta chi is for girls who want a "sorority-light" experience. The time commitment and the price tag is much less than NPC sororities. All I know is that she really enjoyed it. No reason to hate on them.
