confusing cuts
by: pnmI got cut from 2 houses that I loved and wanted to have on pref (theta and tridelt) and I’m kind of confused why I would be cut after the good conversations I had there. I have other good options still so im still fine

I’m so sorry, that hurts. The truth is that most chapters have to make big cuts after sisterhood, cutting up to half their PNM’s before Pref. If they carried you all the way to sisterhood, they really really liked you a lot.
You didn’t do anything wrong and cuts at this point usually just mean they placed other PNM’s higher on the invite back list. You never know what pushed other PNM’s higher on the list - could be a big year for legacies rushing or other girls knew more actives or whatever.

Many sororities nationally are changing the way they look at legacies as part of equity and diversity initiatives. Some, including my sorority, stopped giving preferential treatment to legacies during rush this year.
I don’t know what house you are a legacy to but the majority of houses on campus now have national policies against giving extra consideration to legacies: AXO, AOPi, DDD, DG, GPB, KD, KAT, PBP, ZTA.
