Is it possible to not get a bid?

You can get dropped from all houses but it is rare. Usually if you are dropped fully it is because of your gpa, bad reputation or a girl drops the process herself because she didn’t want the houses she got back. As long as you have a good gpa, have a good reputation and stay open minded, you should be good. That being said, some girls with questionable reputations still slide in because they were okay in high school and then go crazy in college and break tons of standards rules. Those girls usually get kicked out.

Yes, it’s possible to not get a bid. The only point at which you are guarantee a bid is if you have Pref initiations (at least to 1 house) and you do not single intentional preference (aka “suicide”).

Most girls who don’t get bids withdraw because they get cut by the chapters they thought they wanted & they refuse to give the other chapters a chance. Don’t be that girl.

Very few girls get totally released from rush - doesn’t mean every house cut you, but means you don’t have any invitations for the next round - like all the chapters who invited you to Sisterhood drop you the morning of Pref. That’s very rare. Like less than 5% chance of that happening and usually those girls had something big not working for them (bad grades, etc) vs “falling through the cracks”.

i got released and didn’t get any invitations to sisterhood last year. i was top 10% of my class with a lot of activities so i’m trying again this year but getting released happens more than you think
