open recruitment

by: question

What is AEPhi like compared to other sororities in greek life? What do other sororities have they don't? Would it be better to wait for fall 2019 for formal recruitment?

I would say the only difference is that they are a smaller, newer chapter that doesn’t have a house. My old roommate was in phi before she graduated and they were over at our apartment 24/7. She literally lived and breathed aephi and the girls seem crazy close, so maybe being in a small chapter of around 60 is actually better than a 300 girl group

they are small, but they aren’t bottom. It’s not like they take everyone or have a bunch of weird girls, which you could easily wind up in a weird chapter if you go through formal recruitment (not to say that you couldn’t get in the top 8 too)

why is AEPhi never ranked or talked about as being a sorority compared to others?

They keep to themselves and don’t openly recruit like formal does. It’s not like under the table but it’s mostly girls of one religion so they are kinda selective about who they want before recruitment even happens. It’s hard to rank a sorority that does everything so differently

Yeah agreed ^^ it wouldn’t make sense to rank them as top because they just aren’t at all but it also doesn’t make sense to rank than as bottom because they aren’t bottom at all either. It’s just like phi at UT they are just left off rankings because you can’t rank caliber of girls if you aren’t talking about the same pool of girls
