what is the holy trinity?

I've never heard of it before. If by holy trinity they mean top 3 houses, then it would be TriDelt, Kappa, and Zeta, all top for different reasons.
But if "holy'' trinity means the most religious houses, then Tridelt, XO, and Theta. No one could mistaken Kappa as being particularly religious.

Nationally, some people refer to Pi Phi, Kappa, and Theta as the "holy trinity" because they tend to have the most strong chapters at prestigious Greek Life schools.
At UT and SMU, they are and have been the "big/top 3" for decades and decades. At A&M, they're all really different and not all considered top tier. But that doesn't stop girls from certain high schools like Highland Park for passing over higher tier A&M chapters for a Theta bid just to be a Theta.

I've never heard of someone from Highland Park passing over "higher tiered" chapters to be a Theta at A&M. We do not have that competitive of recruitment here. If someone is from Highland Park then they will almost have a guaranteed spot in Kappa or Pi Phi. They would even go Tridelt or XO before Theta, let's be honest here.
A Highland Park Theta legacy would rather go to SMU to get her legacy chapter than go to A&M.
