by: current memhi if youre looking to rush in the spring i honestly advise you not to if you want to get a good house with decent events and actually to get your moneys worth out of it. most of the houses that still have to do spring rush are the ones who have so many girls drop out or dont get enough girls on bid day in the spring. i know that kd ALWAYS does spring rush because they never can keep their members. and theres a reason for that haha. they never have any events and their dues are the highest on the row so their money goes where ??? absolutely no where. you dont want to be a part of that sorority. just rush in the fall

If you try and rush this semester it’s not going to be the same since there’s literally like 4 houses that accept girls and although they might be houses with some great girls, you’re going to have a MUCH better chance since there’s more houses to choose from in the fall. Plus you don’t get the same experience rushing in the spring. Save yourself the trouble and rush in the fall.

this message is probably a troll lol. Everyone knows KD hasn't spring rushed in a while, I heard they made quota this year even without snap bids. And if someone wants to, they totally CAN spring rush and still get a good sorority experience. DZ, AXO, ADPI, GPHI usually do it or have in the past historically. and after this year's recruitment numbers, there's really no telling who will have to do spring or not.

Yes! Give spring rush a chance! Despite the narrative on this site... All the sororities at A&M are amazing! Our Greek life is solid. Spring rush is good bc it is unique to each chapter that participates and is a more intimate way to get to know the girls! Fall recruitment, while fun and it’s own experience, can sometimes be really overwhelming. Spring rush slows the pace and it will give you a chance to join your new sisterhood earlier and get more time with whichever chapter you choose if you decide it’s for you. As a junior, this might be important to you. Sending love, I hope whatever route you decide is a great experience for you! Whoop!

Has it ever occurred to anyone that not all girls WANT a "top tier" house. Maybe some girls weren't the super hot cheerleader type in high school and they are looking for a true home with other girls that will like them and accept them. So I'm not DG material, they are super pretty and seems to party a lot - that's not me, I wouldn't be comfortable (or be offered a bid) from that house. No worries, some house will hopefully offer me a bid. I'm a nice girl, I make good grades, I like to think I'm cute but not "hot". I am looking forward to spring rush and finding my home.
