how are adpi, xo and kd here?
by: SEC transferI'm going through recruitment next fall and ADPi, XO and KD are top groups in my home state. I see ADPi's and XO's everywhere at A&M but not really KD.

Those are the sororities that attended the first gathering- a couple more were invited and had other commitments at that time. Additionally NO ONE CARES!!!! But if your throwing in a random comment that has NOTHING to do with the question asked- get your facts straight first!!!!

was never actually a question. Obviously you are not a freshman and it will depend on what the sororities need also. They have quotas for upper class girls and also their are legacies. Most likely, you will not be the one deciding it will be the sororities. That is true for most girls. The different groups are looking for different things, even from year to year. THe groups are trying to get a balance of girls. At least most are.

I am NOT a Pi Phi. Most of them are conceited, self-centered snobs in general in Texas. I personally have only met one nice one. However, Pi Phi has always been considered THE NO.1 sorority in Texas for the last 100 years. They have the BEST connected alumni in Texas. This is coming from an 8th generation Texan. This being said, things can always change, but it has historically not changed for Pi Phi.
As for the pnm, the very best advice is to follow your heart and pledge the place where you feel at home. These are your sisters for life. I'd rather have a chapter that has great sisterhood
than one that is "the top house." Also, consider that this is not a one way street - they have a bigger say than you and you can get cut from even the lower tier chapters - they do cut.
There is one more consideration, though, to consider. You have a life after college, and alum connections can really help. If you plan to return to your home state, I'd strongly consider the opportunity that you have to pledge a "mid or lower tier" sorority at A & M. You might not be able to get into Adpi, Chi O, or KD back home, while you might get a bid here and when you return to your home state, you will have the alum connections that are top in your state. If you plan to stay in Texas, then that is a consideration as well.
PLEASE, PLEASE, though, go with the place where you are most comfortable. I know that this sounds like you hear it too much, but it is really true.
Good Luck !
