what is rush like?

It honestly varies by house. Some chapters have enough legacies to fill more than one pledge class so even those pnms aren't a shoo-in. Some chapters are more connections/ feeder high school based, but most just focus on pledging smart, involved, fun girls who will be assets to the chapter.

It is SO important for pnms to know that every chapter is amazing in its own way and that with 250++ women in each chapter, they will find their "tribe" no matter which chapter they join. Cuts can come early and be brutal for some pnms so it is really important to keep an open mind all week. Just remember each day that the houses on your party list chose YOU and see something special in you that would add to their sisterhood. Being focused on "top tier" only leads to a lot of disappointment and even the pnm choosing to not join any sorority instead of getting to know the other chapters better.

it is competitive. lets face it, all the PNM's were top of their class, cheerleaders, dance team, student government, etc. at their high schools.

but just try to click with the girls you talk to at each house. don't just answer questions, ask some of your own and try to let your personality show through.
